Eddie Weinstein: Leader of $200 Million Real Estate Investment Scam Charged With Fraud and Money Laundering

NEWARK, NJ?Eliyahu Weinstein, a/k/a ?Eli Weinstein, a/k/a ?Edward Weinstein, a/k/a ?Eddie Weinstein, was indicted today by a federal grand jury in Newark on charges alleging he ran an investment fraud scheme causing losses of at least $200 million, New Jersey U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

The 45-count Indictment charges Weinstein, 36, of Lakewood, N.J., with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, 29 counts of wire fraud, two counts of wire fraud while on pretrial release, one count of bank fraud and 12 counts of money laundering. Weinstein will be arraigned on the Indictment on a date to be determined.

Weinstein was previously charged by Complaint on Aug. 12

The Pamphlet Meeting (Eight Years of Personal Growth and Development)

My staff is always making fun of me for a “pamphlet” meeting I held eight years ago.

I’ll come up with a project to add to their already-busy plates and assure them that the project will be really easy to implement.

DCB’s new offer: Credit card now linked to FD

Private sector lender Development Credit Bank has come up with a new credit card which allows benefits of credit as well as returns of fixed deposit.

Its new offering, the DCB PayLess credit card is linked to a fixed deposit account thereby bringing dual benefits to the customer.

According to Mr Abhijit Bose, Group Senior Vice-President and Head – Retail, MSME Assets and Cards business, Development Credit Bank, “We are launching this card primarily for the micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSME) segment, but even housewives, self-employed, and so on, can avail themselves of this product.”

The eligibility criteria for the card requires the customer to set up a fixed deposit account of atleast Rs 25000 value.

Bose added that, “If they place a deposit with the bank, 90 per cent credit is loaded on the card.”

The card would have a repayment period between 15-45 days.
